|
Right-angle prisms, redirect the incident beam at 90 degrees, inverting the resultant image.
Geometric prisms can be custom coated, Single face as a right angle Prism or double faced
Porro Prism where light enters the large rectagular face of the prism, undergoes total internal reflection twice from the sloped faces, and exits through the large rectangular face offset from its point of entrance. Rotating the image 180°, Since the image is reflected twice, the handedness of the image remains unchanged. |
